Are there any other options around this price point other than:
Meopta Meopro
GPO Passion HD
Kowa Prominar
Zeiss HD

Personal experience?

Thanks

You’re so close to what you can get used Swaros for it would be crazy not to go that route. There was some 10x42 EL’s just listed here for like $1200 shipped, they’re pre swarovision but better than anything else for that price.

If it absolutely has to be new I’d buy BX4’s for $500 and spend the extra $500 on ammo or beer.

Is there is a reason you have excluded those?

Can always go "further" down the list (from Backwoods Pursuit):

I think the Razor HD's are made in the Philippines and the UHD's are still made in Japan. Both are outstanding.

2nd vote for the kowas. Built like a tank. There is a set in the classifieds for $900.

Or spend more for some used swaros...or spend way less for some Torics. They are all pretty good.

I do like the Kowas. Between Black Friday and Military discounts I'm trying to get the best bang for the buck

The mil discount changes things a little. Knocks the price down on the Vortex, Ziess, GPO. I'm in the same boat. I still went with the Kowa. I also have some Torics in 8x and 12.5x, and some Razor UHD in 8x. The UHD are brighter, the Gennys are close, but just feel better, the Torics don't feel quite as sturdy, but have 98% of the image.

I think the Kowas it is unless I can find a screaming deal on used Swaros or Noctovids

Used 10x42 Swaro SLC's come up at that price point fairly frequently.

I bought mine used for $800 over 10 years ago and have served me very well.

I sent them back to Swarovski a couple of years ago for a checkup and they came back like new.

The Leica Trinovids are built like a brick Sh!thouse, a bit heavy, but great glass as well. I regret selling my 8x42's.
