Have you ran any through this build yet?
No, I got it back two weeks ago and then have had a bunch of stuff come up.

-Move cameras for elk and find a stack of phorn bucks
-help @KickinNDishin and dad broadhead tune for the above phorns
-broadhead tune myself in case I find a tag
-load and shoot bullets in case I get a tag
-funeral stuff for my grammy
-I have some other scopes to test, so I need to load the 22br and test those as well

I'll probably start at 42.5gr and go to 44.5gr. and be happy above 3000fps, and then load from there. ANything I should look out for?

I feel your pain!! I was just hoping to see some real world experience because I got 1000 of them to use in my 6arc but I am looking into buying a 6CM now too!

When my 22" barrel was new, and a slow lot of H4350

106 TAP H4350
41.4 2972
41.7 2990
42.0 3012
42.3 3072
42.6 3067
42.9 3086

Now the barrel has over 200 rounds on it, and has sped up quite a bit, 43gr would likely be around 3130-3150.

It seemed to be a forgiving bullet from what I remember if reading this thread before.

I have a 24" PVA 6creed barrel and a pile of 106s for 2025. It will start with a shoulder season elk. Barrel will go on in December. So far the 106s look promising.

Awesome keep us posted. Yeah as long as you have enough twist for it. Doesn't seem like my 8 twist at 300 feet of elevation has it. Im saving mine for a barrel swap in 25 as well.

3200fps in 6mm creedmoor?! What barrel length and how is the accuracy?

I’ve got a 26” PVA 6 creed prefit, a bunch of these TAPs, ready to go just need to find time for a range day..

I think the 6.5 creed load we have with 140bergers is 45.3gr, so I'd imagine 45gr in the 6creed would be sticky to extract. This was virgin unsized brass and those were the first 10shots in the barrel.

Has anyone killed more animals with these 106s this fall?

Am I correct to to assume the 106tap is basically a "eldx" equivalent to the 109 eldm? They have similar BC, profile, etc and the cross sectioning of the 106 shows the jacket having the eldx's interlock ring.

Yes, they are very similar to ELDx in construction. The interlock ring is actually a little further forward on the bullet than most ELDx if i recall correctly.

I have a depredation elk tag that I will be using one on from a 6xc. If I can get home in time from Idaho I will take it on my Washington elk hunt.
