106 TAP for hunting?

Finally got around to shooting these in a PVA 6cm. The pressure ladder and 5 round groups looked very promising..not thrilled with the 15 round group. Probably will sell the 2k or so that I bought and try the 109eld. This was with RL16; worked up to 3250fps without pressure signs. This group was a grain less so probably 3150.



The gun and shooter are capable..this is factory Berger 105s

Killed an elk at 380yds, 2360ish fps. Hit low/heart and broke offside leg and exited on the first shot, no autopsy photos. Mule deer at 350yds, 2555fps. Photos; exit, entrance, bullet caught under hide.

I've shot a few white tails hearts in half, they still ran over 100y.

What was the exit like? Judging by the entrance i could imagine either no exit, or a massive exit being possible

I don't think they're available anywhere unless someone is looking to sell their stash. Folks bought them from Midway as "seconds".

I was hoping to buy at least a couple hundred, but would take would I can get. New 6arc that I need to develop a load for and have enough bullets left to practice some and hunt with.
