105gr hornady bthp

Anybody shoot game with this bullet?


If not game anyone using it as a practice bullet for 108 eld-m?

What caliber? 6.5?

I am shooting the 110 gr in a 6.8 SPC (.277) There are accurate, but I am not sure I would use them on anything other then varmints

Does hornady make a 105gr bthp in anything other then 6mm?

Is the 110gr that soft? I'd think the spc isn't fast enough to shed a jacket that fast

Yes. Quite a few deer. They open up, but penetrate bone well. Would have zero hesitation using them on elk.

What's bottom range on expansion on a lung shot?

Same as the 75gr bthp at 2000fps or so?

For the first question, I don't have their entire bullet line memorized.
For the second, the 6.8 SPC is plenty fast for them. They shed the jacket quite readily. 300 yards at 1900 fps, they still shed.

Yep. Give or take. I haven’t taken it past 1900 or so, but they did fine at that.
