I didn't know they made that model. Thank you! I can't find it anywhere but Europtic and not even on the tikka site. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they have any idea on how long it's on backorder. It would be perfect and save me some smith fees chopping and threading another model.
As a guy who just built a 223 trainer, a bolt gun shoots so much better than an AR. Now, I'm not a huge fan of shooting ARs though. If for nothing else, it's more similar to your hunting rifles more than likely so it should be better to train with. The number one deal is that it suppresses so well.
Hello everyone. I'm about to order my son his first centerfire rifle for his 7th birthday. He's not a big kid but is catching up quickly. I'm pretty set on a Tikka Compact .223 but open to other options if it makes sense. Bonus for a threaded barrel to use a suppressor.
He shoots a Savage...
On my last two die sets I've been using the RCBS matchmaster FL sets with the seating die that has a window. Super cool seating die but that's for another thread.
I've been using the expander ball that comes with the set instead of taking it out. All of this has been on new brass so that's why...
Thank you for that. I have a corneal disease and I see better with a little more light coming through. The ambers are about perfect for me with the green mirror. I'll pass on these but they're a good deal. Someone will pick them up.
I've lifted around 5 trucks now, pretty much all of the big brands. As I've gotten a little older I won't do anything but a coilover lift with new UCAs. It's the best option and allows your truck to get back into alignment spec. Bilsteins are okay but if you crank them up and ride on the upper...
We have quite a few crew trucks at work that meet this criteria. We've had issues with the 5.7 dodge motors and the high idle time. I only have 3 for my team. 2 dodge and one 1/2 ton chevy diesel. Not sure I'd recommend either if those. Maybe try to find an older 5.7 Tundra. They're pretty...
I think a 29" hardtail would be the ticket.
I picked up a Specialized Turbo Levo last year and it's amazing but an e-bike and out of the budget range. I didn't get it for hunting but I can see where it could be a game changer if you're biking in for day trips.
I have no complaints and absolutely nothing to compare it to. However, I'm not really sure how it could get much better. I have no issues with the one I'm running. I like the lock feature where you have to push the button down before you can remove the stud. I'll run it until I can get hands on...
Got confirmation email the other day. Now I'm excited again after trying to forget about this.
I'm interested in this question thats quoted. I'll be bringing my .223 and 1k 75gr hpbt handloads. I wouldn't mind bringing a few hundred 6cm rounds and my extra barrel to swap on there to get some...
I bought a cheap one on amazon just to see if I would like it before jumping off into the $100+ ones. So far I'm really not sure how much more it could be expanded on. I put an arca plate on the bottom and put it on my fluid head...
The gap molded in colors are a different pattern and different colors. That was my preferred color scheme. When I called MOA to see if they had any in stock they didnt. However they texted me pictures of the hard edge patterns they were testing. He told me I could get the hard edge a lot quicker...
Appreciate it man. I've put a few rounds down it so far and have 50 more loaded up for the next range day. Hoping to have a decent load by the end of those 50 and have it fully dialed in by the time my barrel hits 100rds. I saw some interesting velocity numbers on the first 30 shots.
I've also...
