Darn. Well if they tooled up to make it I'm sure they sent some to some vendors. Should pop up there soon I'd think. Glad I jumped on it and got some when I did.
Not sure if you found any but adg had 300wsm in stock again earlier today. Not sure if they still have any because the # in stock was going down quick.
My outer waterproof layer is redhead squalltex with their bonedry material. I know it's not top of the line but I'm a big guy and there isn't much that fits me well. I want to make sure it is up to 100% for my upcoming bear hunt. I got no luck asking through bass pro and cabelas about renewing...
Could be a bullet fitment issue. Either way I'd want to put a new barrel in it before shooting lead. If it is an oversize bore then coated bullets won't work either.
Yeah I'd read this before I ordered their ammo and it SMEARED lead down the barrel. Hence why I'm going to have to use something copper or at least jacketed. I'm ordering a new barrel and reloading supplies are on the way but I won't have that ready by the time my trip starts in May.
I just checked mine were the 220 bb rounds. I cast and shoot lead in all my other pistols. One round from this had so much lead I wouldn't feel comfortable running a full mag through it.
I picked up a glock 20 to use as a bear defense if spray isn't going to work in that scenario. I generally opt towards hard cast bullets for hunting anyways so thought I'd try some Buffalo bore 200gr my local shop could get me. The first shot leaded the barrel pretty good so I haven't bothered...
I ended up going with a mystery ranch. I had a gift card for sportsmans guide and it matches my pack. I'll probably throw a marsupial or some other soft holster on the bottom of it.
Not sure if this is quite the right spot for this but I was wondering what people are using for a chest pack with a bino harness, somewhere I can mount a holster, and possibly bear spray. I've got the vortex chest pack my diamondback 10x42s came with but there really isn't anywhere to mount...
Yardage also plays a role into its effectiveness. Under 100 yards with a good bullet I wouldn't think twice. 3-500 then I even question whether my 260 would be adequate.
