I’ve got an 18in barrel 22ARC and it’s shooting ~2600 with the 88s and ~2900 with the 75s. They both shoot good, but I’ve been sticking with the 75elds since they give me a little more range and they’re a little flatter
The ones that’s 3-D printer magpul followers, has anybody used them?
Followers look like they could work, but from the website, I can’t tell if it’s a really small business or a scam.
Ok, so I’ve seen some discussion on the 88eldm vs 80eldm vs 80 Eld-X. What about the 75eldm vs 80 eldm vs 80eld-X.
I know we’re splitting hairs, but just for fun, let’s split them and rank these bullets assuming a 2800-2900 starting velocity
Do you find the lowest penetration velocity by shooting? Or is there a bullet construction metric that you’re watching?
Also, thanks for all the information and input. I know it helps me immensely
I’d be interested to see if that velocity would work. I’m fixing to get a 12.5 ar barrel, but I was thinking 2700-2750 is best I could do. Still though, that’s a 16-18in 223 out of a 12.5in
Well since we’ve been talking about it, I did get the 75 bthps to shoot in the 22ARC.
Stretched the COL to 2.16 and they shot much better. At 2.12 they were shooting around 2inches and at 2.16, they should near an inch.
Now I’ve got a 75eldm/leverevolution and 75bthp/n150 loads shooting just...
I was shooting n150, so no data to go off of, but I’m at least gonna stretch it out in steps of .01s before I give up on it. Been shooting eld’s with lever, so I may try that next if this one doesn’t pan out
Since I asked, I loaded some up myself. Got good velocity and kinda meh accuracy. I just set them to 2.12 and gave it a shot. May try walking them out a little longer. Same experience with the 75eld-m in my arc also though, they shoot significantly better as it stands now.
Having a load for...
Very nice.
I’m shooting an AR with an 18in barrel, so a little slower, but the best speeds I have gotten with the 88 have been using n550 and Superformance. 2700 is the best I can do with that bullet though
