    The argument that brakes will damage your hearing is pretty weak since shooting an un braked 300 WM with out protection will still damage your hearing. Anything roughly over 70 DB can cause hearing loss/damage.

    I have no experience with sitka or other upper tier brands but its seems like the PCU is loud but for rifle hunting might not be an issue. Going to give it a try and pack it and see how it does. It is patagucci so should be GTG, Im mainly using the rain gear.
