What time-frame we talking? Was he among the leadership who tanked PSE's reputation, and made Pete decide to come out of retirement and take the reins to try to claw back the company he built into something respectable again? ;)
Agreed that it's a no-brainer improvement, but hardly the sort of thing that's going to turn any tides in the industry and get many people to start jumping ship to PSE.
Same goes for the kickstand. It's a good idea in theory. It seems to work great in the trade show booth. How's it work in the...
Another vote for Gold Tip Hunter XT.
Also, invest the $10 and get a year's subscription to Archer's Advantage online software. Super useful for calculating spine weight, and tweaking your specific setups for the best performance.
You can print custom sight tapes as well, if you're using a slider.
I'm always open to new ideas, thanks. I try to skip past the small talk, not the technical stuff, fyi. I use information and often tweak it for what works best for me. I always used "Tuning your Broadheads by Larry Wise".
You're right, maybe he's not butthurt. Maybe I'm misreading that. But...
Well, sort of. What he said was that the one and only thing he knows about the guy he saw in a video watching the guy tune his bow. He didn't understand why the guy did one think moderately differently than he thinks it should be done, and determined that Dudley is a "moron" with absolutely no...
I'd like to see the video in question too, but only so I don't have to keep making assumptions or taking this guy's word for it. It must have some really heinous stuff in it, to have butt-hurt '5MB' so badly. ;)
That said, your description of having to change your sights every time you change...
Agreed. The info is just as useful, whether you use his releases or not. I tried the Nock-2-It that another buddy recently bought, and while it's a perfectly great release, it's ultimately just another Carter release that comes down to personal preference. I don't plan on running out and buying...
Again, I didn't see the video. But another poster did, and he already confirmed my assumptions. The icing on the cake is the part where he said that Dudley even EXPLAINED why he was doing it that way. But maybe you were too busy knowing everything to listen to that part.
I imagine if you saw a...
Shooting broadheads at broadheads will net the same results... As will shooting field points at any other arrow, if you're shooting well enough.
The nature of the beast is, if you're shooting good groups, count on losing a few shafts, or at least nocks.
Hardly a reason to discount the...
I haven't seen the video you're referring to, but I'll say this. It's pretty easy to call successful people "idiots" for their methods, as long as one is willing to completely ignore their results. *shrug*
My family owns substantial property, and I've found that the best way to keep an area 'policed' is to have somebody else leasing hunting/access rights. If the property you've got is able to support more hunters than just yourself, finding somebody else who's wanting to hunt it and willing to pay...
I'm pretty new to archery, but my philosophy is pretty much the same with other hobbies/industries as well. The brand of gear isn't as important as the quality and the practice you put into using it.
I didn't listen to the podcast. I don't really care about the drama. I'm not shooting a Hoyt...
