I like the option of having the meat shelf even though the only time I’ll use it is if my pack is too full of gear ( like packing camp out). Otherwise I prefer to just drop the game bags inside the pack

I had a hard time deciding..... the organization of the 44 mag is awesome but I was worried it might be to small, then the Hoodlum might be to big for day trips..... I went with the 44 mag and have been happy. I added a Sherman pocket on the back which works great and if I ever need more room in...
If you exhaust all adjustment options and no results see if you can borrow a pack of a different brand, adjust it to yourself and try it out...... if still no results see the Doc!

I just use regular game bags and prefer to pack meat inside of my pack vs meat shelf if possible. Never had any issues with getting a little blood in the pack just give it a quick spray and scrub after each hunt

I have a eberlestock just 1 that I have used to pack out many deer and was always in discomfort. I love the way the pack is set up and I can organize everything in it very well...... it just doesn’t have any load lifters so with 60 pounds it always digs in my neck and shoulders
