Go with a 1 3/4" guard, use the bottom pin for your slider "easier to keep an eye on your bubble that way"...As far as anchor point, if you set your peep height looking at a target at say 20yds then your anchor will change if you step back to say 80yds to shoot....I recommend everyone setting...
BG has said for the past year or so that they were gonna drop the 2" housing because they hardly sell any of them...Just not worth machining them to have them collect dust on the shelf. I haven't messed with the new ones, have a ton of experience with the old Ascents...New ones look good but...
4 fletch, right wing clamp with as much helical as I can get with my Bitz jig....They shot perfect with field tips but with broadheads in the wind they got pushed around....
I shot them last night finally, Shuttle T's on VAPS fletched with Blazers, Pro Max, Max Hunters and 3" Fusions...Pro Max did the worse for me honestly, they are great with field tips but broadheads started planing with them in the wind... Everything else stayed in a 3" circle with broadheads...
I normally shoot a setup with a side bar of some sorts for hunting... All depends on the bow to me. My Experience I was shooting didn't shoot as well for me with much weight on it , same with the Carbon Matrix I used to shoot... All my PSE's have always worked better with a heavier setup and a...
As long as you start with a bow that balances well "which for me the carbon Hoyts always have" then you don't HAVE to have a lot of stabilizer on them. I know Randy's brother Rusty doesn't hunt with a stabilizer on his bow either...
I'm not gonna hunt with 80lbs, but will be hunting with 75lbs this year...I've got 2dzn .300 spine VAPs built right now with the 92gr SS outserts and plan to shoot 100gr heads...Hopefully it's not an issue "don't have the 75lbs bow in yet", if so I'll back the poundage down a little until it...
What are you seeing from them Evan??? I haven't had time to mess with them any yet...Fletched up a couple VAPs but weather has been crappy, high winds and a little rain so I haven't had a chance to shoot any since building them.
Rushing the shot can lead to bad things and it is a bad habit to have....One of the things I've seen that cause some people to rush the shot is a bow that doesn't fit them right at all or really bad form that just makes it uncomfortable to shoot so they try to get the arrow off as fast as...
Yeah Shuttles do shoot great, I've shot them a lot over the years and always had great luck with how they fly no matter what vane/arrow I've tried them on.
On their site the footprint is like $45, I haven't shopped around yet anywhere else but I'll do some looking...I bought mine from a guy but it's new and never been used and I bought it with some other stuff and got it cheap, less than $100 in the tent and it's never been outside so I can't...
As the father of 3 girls I'll tell you that they are capable of that too, lol...Their aim just isn't as good. We babysitted some for a friend of ours who had a boy still in diapers at the time and I've dodged that one once or twice...Come to think of it I think he's still in diapers and he's...
Picked up a new Sprite 1 tent the other day, any of you guys use them and what do you think??? Also would the guys that have used them recommend I get a foot print for it???
Muddy Treestands bought them out, they are now Bloodsport arrows. I shot the HT-2's back then and they were some dang good shooting arrows. When Muddy bought them they called me about being a dealer for them, then they sent me their price lists and I never called back....Their prices were as...
My comfort zone- A place where the meanest thing in the woods is a coyote
Not my comfort zone- A place where the mountain lions fight the grizzlies just for fun...
I'll be hunting in the 2nd area this Sept..lol
