It's cheaper to buy a used or takeoff CTR stock to rob the comb from than buy it from Midwest. If you get a T3X CTR stock it will have the vertical grip too. It's not tough to find a used stock for $50 but remember the CTR bottom metal inlet is different from the standard Lite stock.

One of the very few problems on a Tikka, the trigger is too close to the rear of the trigger guard and your trigger finger may wrap the guard. I suppose it's buried deep in there to protect against AD/ND.

Hot Rat Barrel Vise Instructions
It's actually for the FAL barrel but it fits the Tikka perfect. The 6 bolts torqued to 35lbs will untwist a Brazilian FAL barrel that's tightened to 100lbs +. I've removed several very tight early T3s barrels and not left a mark.

Glad to help an old noob.
Weatherby uses Howa long actions for their Vanguard series which come chambered in 300 Weatherby and 375 H&H so there is a mag box longer than 30/06 and 300 WM. Where to get one I dunno.
Howa is now chambering the 300 PRC so I wonder what the internal length of the magazines are on those? For some reason I thought the Howa LA was comparable to the Remington 700 in magazine length.
It was a thing back in the 1990s with Palma shooters. A Scotsman named Charles Young wrote a few articles for Precision Shooting about using a long tapered reamer to deburr the neck and then lube the case necks with moly grease. It was very popular for a few years but faded away.
Tikkas decision to build the T3 shorter than a true magnum length action is regrettable, however it is very suitable base for a WSM or Sherman Short. If the handlers of TikkaSakoBeretta were to resurrect the M995 in some version it would be ideal for shooters limited to over the counter rifles...
