Do y'all recommend a 1-7 or 1-8 twist?
FWIW I like 1:7 when in a shortish (14.5” to 18”) barrel. Would love to hear PRI owners experience though on how 1:8 does accuracy wise with 77 tmk’s or similar vs 1:7 if they’ve been able to observe both

There’s no difference that 1:7” or 1:8” twist makes on accuracy. The difference is just barrel to barrel variability.

I'm trading a rifle I've had sitting around for a Mk12. Thinking about a (2)2.5-10.

Tough decision. Need some advice.

Credo 2-10x36 w/ no parallax (ffp mil)
Vs trying to chase down an NXS 2.5-10x36 but sfp (mil).

Any other recs sub 1500ish ?

Trying to keep it mk12ish but not too nerdy. Throwing a aem5 on there also.

PRI 18" 1:7 on a BCM lower

Why not just just a 42mm obj NXS?

Used NX8 2.5-20. They show up time to time. In use they're closer to a 2.5-12 for real use. The Leupold MK5HD 3.6-18 and the 2-10 are both showing up often under $1500 with full warranties.

Excuse the dumb question. . . I am learning the AR 15 stuff. Can a guy put a MK12 MOD 0 PRI upper on any decent lower and expect the same accuracy you are observing?

I have an Aero Precision M4E1 lower that I am considering getting an accurate barrel or upper for. Currently, the rifle I own has all Aero Precision parts and a Ballistic advantage 1-7 twist barrel. I am not satisfied with the accuracy and wondering the best way to achieve a 1MOA AR15. . . The results the OP posted are impressive.

Definitely considering.

Not out of the question. If I can track one down used at the right price. Market is a little higher than my budget.

I really feel like the Credo with a side-focus would be the ideal "dmr" scope.
No parallax on a 2.5-10 is not a big deal. I have the Credo you reference and it does fine 1k and and in.
