Just learned about these today, and had one ordered 5 minutes later. I'll be sure to post up when I have a chance to install it and run it through the paces. Can't wait. I've gone to hinged floor plates for all my hunting rifles now because they just plain work.

Got it installed and shooting. Looks darn good. Takes a few rounds to break in the spring and feed lips, but it's pretty smooth now. Sure didn't seem to hurt my groups. This rifle is pretty amazing with 120 ELD-M's. 1/2" yesterday and routinely under 3/4" with that load.IMG_3829.JPGIMG_3830.JPGIMG_3831.JPGIMG_3832.JPGIMG_3833.JPGIMG_3834.JPGIMG_3823.JPG

Looks really good. Did you do the stock? One of those is on my short list, Form had good to say about them too. Do you know what the stock weighs now?

Yea, I did the stock myself. Quite a bit of work with just hand tools and a palm sander actually. Stock weighs 28 oz. now.

These Howa mini's are effing shooters.

What did you use for finish on the stock?
Rustoleum Multicolored Textured spray paint. I think this is called "Sand" color. I've used it quite a bit on a number of rifle stocks and it provides a great grip and looks good too. For my Tikka, I used the gray and it went really well with the stainless action and barrel.

I put this same bottom metal on my 223 about a year ago. Nothing but good to say about this.
Good function, looks, fit, & finish. I’ve only got about 600 rounds through mine, but works perfect.
Dealing with the owner of Jefferson Outdoors was smooth as well.
