Can you reccomend a Sitka system for early season?

I'd say the mountain pants, I like the Jetstream vest, traverse hoodie and Ascent jacket. You already have your firstlite so this will let you layer nicely. I like the mountain pants better than the ascent because of the removable knee pads and more durable material.

    $800 spotter budget

The Compact Razor is amazing for the size. That is what I will be packing with me this year on my Wyoming Elk hunt.

    Smokers?

I am not a smoket either. I bought a Green Mountain grill. It is the best grill I have used. You can smoke with it or use it as a grill. It is electric and burns wood pellets. The flavor of meat is best ever. My kids even like the taste of hotdogs on this grill better. I've smoked a...

    What boots?

Crispi Idaho for uninsulated or the new Guide for insulated. Waterproof, unbelievably comfortable, breathable, and very little break in period. Worth taking a look at. Made in Italy

    Scent control

for back country scent control I would suggest everyone to take a look at Carbon Synergy. I don't dip my clothes in it like they suggest because it does darken your clothes. I do dip some wash clothes to use as wipes. If I get a little sweaty walking in, I'll take out a wash cloth and wipe...

    Crispi Wyoming GTX?

I'm the guy from AT. Haven't had much time with the Wyomings yet. They finally became available about 3 weeks ago. I have a couple guys that bought them that are elk hunting and should be getting a review from them soon. Jasons review on the Idaho was very good. I love my Idaho and so far...

    Hamskea VersaRest

I run mine off the bottom limb. Ran my other limb driven rest off the top limb. I prefer the bottom limb. Never had any issues with coming off the top limb. It comes down to what you feel more comfortable with.

    Crispi Idaho

I got a pair of Idaho last year and have been very impressed with them. For being a uninsulated boot they are still plenty warm. I wore them snow shoeing last winter and stayed plenty warm. I would recommend these boots too.

    Broadheads and long distance

Muddy Bloodsport twos, 2" Vane tec, Shuttle ts for on bow, and Muddy Bloodsport ones, 2" Vanetec, and Grim Reapers for the other set up. Both are shooting great out to 80. Haven't tried out to 100 yet. Was shooting them with the kwik shooter to test for consistency to take human error out of...

    HHA moveable sights

The HHA is a good sight, but I think that Black Gold Ambush or Ascent is built better. I think if you want fast adjustment stay with a fixed pin. If you set your sight like Lukem and practice that way a single pin is good.
