So I've been wanting to mess around with a single pin for awhile but didn't wanna drop a lot of coin on one. I'm amazed at how much more accurate I am, however, is an HHA sight durable and easy enough to use to rely upon in the mountains, seems like the slider option is a pain to try to move and adjust in a hurry and the sight tape marks are really only good in 5 yard increments. Does anyone successfully use one of these to hunt mule deer and elk with? Do you make a custom sight tape? Do you leave the slider unlocked for quick adjustments? I ask because I think I'm sold on the single pin idea, I just don't know if the HHA 5019 slider is the best bang for my buck since I have several other large purchases I'd like to make in the near future that I think are more important (pack and boots specifically)

I used the HHA that has the wheel adjustment for almost four years, and never had a problem with it.

I lock my 5519 at 30 and practice from 10-45 with it and can hit my mark. I figure if it's a shot over 50, I better have enough time to adjust the sight. It's pretty easy to adjust to the off yardages between the 5 yard marks as well. I've built my own tapes in the past, but have been using the supplied ones recently, they work just fine. I do like shooting with mine, but I don't know that it makes any major difference in accuracy, it's simply a matter of preference. It still takes practice behind the bow to become proficient, no sight, rest, etc., will majorly change that. If you really need boots and pack and are happy with your current sight, I'd spend my cash there and upgrade the sight later.

The HHA is a good sight, but I think that Black Gold Ambush or Ascent is built better. I think if you want fast adjustment stay with a fixed pin. If you set your sight like Lukem and practice that way a single pin is good.

Used a HHA for a couple years. Plenty durable for mountain hunting. I bought a black gold ascent ambush this spring and like it much better. Little more cash for the BG though

got a 5510 and have 1 yard increments on my tape out to 80 yards. I have a wheel on mine not a lever and the gears are meshed tight enough where I don't have to lock my wheel it stays where I put it. Never had any issues with durability with mine, built tough enough for me. HHA has a lifetime warranty with their sights and I heard they are great people to deal with.

I have one of the big HHA sights on my bow. It came with the bow, but I plan to replace it with a BG or SpotHog this winter. It seems to work ok, it's just too big and clunky. I don't like how it gets in the way of mounting my quiver tight to the bow and limits how many arrows it can hold.

The HHA has already been purchased, so I'm sticking with a single pin for the time being, just didn't know if I should allocate some funds towards upgrading in the future or not.
