I shoot 1k+ pretty regularly with my 21”.
I’m shooting factory 130 terminal ascents. I’m getting 2960 FPS in the 30s and right at 3k in the 80s.

No, this one has EPS + dif lock. It's worth it. Like a lot lol.
450 class you can get by but 7-800 class, especially in 4WD with weight (aka that pic) power steering is worth it. Yamaha does a really good job with their PS... Not wobbly or too much, just enough.

I’ve migrated away from Talley rings as I’ve had one crack in the past. I still have a Talley 20 MOA tikka rail in my safe… are their rails high enough quality/durable enough to make it worth mounting up and using for a durable LR rig? Scope is Trijicon Tenmile with NF rings.
Thanks!

Have used a Kodiak 10x10 for a couple years and just bought the 12x12 to have more space for the stove. Been happy with my experience with them so far.
That's a shame and really interesting - to hear that kind of fall off makes me think something is loose maybe? I assume you properly de-greased everything and confirmed everything (rings, rail, screws, stock, etc.) is tight?
IME with 1 element and 1 PH2, they don't seem to wander much when...
Here's a 10-shot group with my element from last week. 7 through 1 hole and 3 outside. I'm betting some of that was me. Either way, ready to go for this season.
Perhaps someday. Too many shooting partners and existing scopes in MOA for me to be willing to make the leap today :-)

Very true... I wished I learned that sooner with my 2nd ... we parented like we did for our 1st for the first few years, and it was not nearly as effective. Once we adjusted, he started responding way better. Every kid learns, comprehends, responds, and possesses differently.
Man - some days just feel like no ER trips was the sole victory. My wife has a shirt that says "Boy Momma, less drama than girls, but much harder to keep alive"
We are 3 for 3 for ER trips this year alone lol.
Good on your mom... my MiL raised 5 (4 girls and 1 boy) alone and it's a hard road...
Congrats! Being a dad is one of the greatest gifts possible!
I'm a father of 3 boys - my oldest is doing his first youth hunt this year and he is over the moon excited :-) It's been years of "snack hikes with a rifle" but he has the bug. My middle seems less interested at this point, but...
totally agree - it's my "default" or "standard" now when setting up a new rifle... have one sitting waiting for a donor rifle. I like my NX8 a little more, but it's also a little heavier and cost a fair bit more. Tenmile is a fantastic aiming device.
Got into a 45 minute heated argument with this guy - he was 150 yards across the property line and wasn't willing to leave his cows - he was screaming, glunking, peeing, raking, false charging - super fun!

Central MT. Opener, pretty active, bugles late last evening and then pretty hot till about 9 AM today. Saw a decent bull and he already had 15-20 cows with him.
Got to listen in on two bulls fighting. Was pretty cool. Wind was bad so couldn't close the last 2-300 yards.
Good luck out there...
