I have the Glock 26 but carry the LC9s when I need to deep conceal.
It's a good little pistol and functions fine. I don't like the standard LC9 with the little thumb safety because it's too easy to miss it when drawing and a pain to re-engage.
The 30-06 of today is not the 30-06 your grandpappy used.
I've finally gotten around to liking the cartridge. I've always liked it as a parent cartridge but never really cared for it as a cartridge of it's own until trying more modern bullets and powder.
What kind of socks were you wearing?
I ask because the right kind of sock is important in keeping your foot dry from sweat. I favor heavy wool socks with a polypropylene liner sock.
My feet are heavy sweaters. I can drip sweat off my feet just sitting still and find that wool does the best...
I was in the same boat and went with a Mission Craze.
As a beginner you will want a lower pull weight but as you develop your form you will start to increase your poundage. This is where the Craze excels. It's adjustability is second to none.
I believe it will hold you in good stead for a few...
I use a Montana, forgot the exact model number and I'm not at home to check, but I wouldn't be workout my Garmin.
Had an eTrex 20 a few years ago but glad I made the upgrade. Never been happy with the cell phone for my gps as I find it runs out of juice too fast. I like the screen on the Garmin...
I don't have a Montana, yet, as I'm blessed with a left hand Ruger and a Winchester but my next one will be a Montana.
Patrick Holehan of PL Holehan Custom Rifles uses their actions in his builds and to me that says all I need to know.
I hope that helps.
Thinking about adding a Kifaru Koala Lite to my kit.
Anybody use one? I'm looking for something to keep my 6" revolver handy while carrying a pack. It'll also hold my rangefinder and gps.
Thank you.
