Did you quote the wrong post?
Bears are the equivalent of a psychotic cannibal with a room temp IQ and perpetual appetite. It’s logical to want them gone or at least isolated to parks.
They literally view you as food.
It’s hard for the idealists to accept, but apex predators were eliminated for good reasons…like they ate your kids…killed your cattle…made it where you had to carry a rifle every time you went to the outhouse.
These were valid reasons and people think the new bears will be different from the...
It’s not just that the woods are crowded…hunter numbers are not at all time highs (depending on species)…it’s that there are fewer places to hunt and the outdoor recreation areas are now filled with mountain bikers, campers, dirt bikes, hikers, and so on.
less available land…concentrates hunters.
I have several. They are exceptionally good rifles. I wish Winchester would br back the stainless featherweight. You can buy an off the shelf McM stock and lighten it up too…
I don’t know much about jets, but a mud motor with a mud hull will literally drive in soft soupy mud like it’s water. A gator glide coating on the bottom and it will slide over grass and reeds like butter.
It depends on what you want it to do and how far you are willing to go to get it. AR and LA are the Mecca for those boats.
AlWeld, Weld Built, Alumacraft, Pro Drive, Go Devil, Havoc, Excel, Prodigy($$$), Beavertail…and on and on.
Personally…go with a heavy gauge welded hull from a place...
Western hunters are decades behind when it comes to hunting drama.
Blind burnings…shooting at “low birds” and hitting other hunters…sinking boats…dog killing.
That’s not even touching the use of imminent domain type pressure to “buy” land wanted by rich guys for their duck clubs…or how...
This accurately describes waterfowl hunting in Arkansas. It went from the duck hunting capital of the world to a place where grown men punch 16 year old kids in the face because a kid beat them to one of the few open spots on public land…or boat ramps where locals vandalize cars with out of...
The truly terrible moment will be when those R hunters experience the whole outdoor and shooting community discovering that all those non hunters who shoot and recreate in hunting spaces…are paying a specific tax so hunters can hunt.
Do you think that people who don’t hunt…but want year round...
Careful, the HOA presidents will tell you that you are a vile human being because you might leave a tire rut on a road.
Many people don't see public land as only public when it's used their way. They can't comprehend that things like road closures and regulations effectively deny much of...
This is a fairly universal problem with target bullets. DOD saw this with the 77 gr Sierra Matchkings in MK 262. Sometimes, they went off like a grenade...sometimes, the tip would bend shut and they would totally fail to expand.
It's a big part of why target bullets are often a poor choice...
What good is a road you can’t use? None….
It exists to facilitate access via wheeled vehicle. Literally, the reason it was built.
As you said…thousands of miles? You can’t walk that. It’s too vast.
The only way to cover some of the larger areas and spread out, away from other...
Foot massively limits how far and where you can go. It concentrates hunters and hunting pressure, causing a disproportionate take close to a trailhead. ATVs allow hunters to spread out and access more land, away from crowds.
Who cares if a road gets ruts in the winter? That’s totally normal and is fixed with a blade and tractor. I do this yearly on miles of dirt road and the state does the same. We should expect road maintenance…we pay taxes.
There is yearly maintenance for boat ramps, dirt roads, trails, and...
