Glue in 4mm (.166) broadheads (Evolution, Iron WIll, Thrive, Thorn)

Excellent, thanks The past 8-10yrs I have primarily used hot melt, and it hasn’t been consistently good, and the main issue with it is losing inserts in my targets, and then hitting them at a later date and ruining arrows… I despise that In concept, it’s my favorite option. I have been...

Glue in 4mm (.166) broadheads (Evolution, Iron WIll, Thrive, Thorn)

Copy that, that is exactly what I planned on trying next

    Exo Mountain K4?

You won’t regret getting the 3600 imo, if you go lidless, it’s lower profile than the 2200 as well (clearance above you) I like my 2200 and use it a lot, but I certainly wouldn’t trade my 3600 for it I plan on getting a dedicated 26.5” frame for hauling meat (mostly helping others pack meat to...

    Fixed pin and adjustable sight

Lots of options! I like the 3 pin BG mtn lite That being said, I just custom ordered a 5 pin fixed black gold, top 2 pins .019, bottom 3 are .010, all green, I’m going to try that for a year and go from there… if I don’t like it, I’ll get a custom 3 pin mtn lite with the .019 top pin and...

Glue in 4mm (.166) broadheads (Evolution, Iron WIll, Thrive, Thorn)

Yeah, I forgot evolution was building glue in stuff. I have not found a hotmelt that has been great, but that’s obviously a hot melt program, so I’ll need to order something else to try.

Glue in 4mm (.166) broadheads (Evolution, Iron WIll, Thrive, Thorn)

I’m thinking about going 4mm (have a dozen that should arrive in the next couple days) I too am thinking about glue in for all of my hunting arrows, outserts/field points for foam, or just glue in field points too… if I have 1.5 doz arrows on hand at a minimum, I can have get them all fletched...

    Exo Mountain K4?

I have not ran into any scenarios day hunting that the 2200 was too small Calling cats in the winter is when it’s the fullest, because my foxpro eats a lot of space Insulation layers always in the bag, but usually strap my rain gear to the outside regardless of how empty or full my pack is, I...

    Exo Mountain K4?

I agree, I have the 2200 and 3600, but the 5000 would have made my setup a little more versatile I have no complaints and not had any scenarios that the 3600 was too small, but the 5000 makes more sense if you have a 2200 I picked mine initially, thinking the 3600 would be the most practical...

    Amazon Prime Deals?

I got 3 kastking capstan 300’s for under 80$ each which is crazy. They have become my go to salmon bobber reels, they hold up as well as the 300/400 lexa, but sized right in the middle which is perfect I will probably dedicate one for the ocean so I can have my lexa 400 serviced. Those reels...

    Your Top FIXED blade BH

I have a little 5” section of arrow with an insert that I use to sharpen my GK’s so it makes it like sharpening a knife, gives you a little handle to use while sharpening, and just use a worksharp guided field sharpener, so If you can sharpen a pocket knife, you can sharpen a radius edge...

    Dyneema/DCF/cuben tents real life experience

I have only had mine for 3yrs (DCF silex) but it’s been very much worth it to me, just the complete waterproofness and no sag made it a big upgrade for me My primary shelter will always be DCF

    Your Top FIXED blade BH

I’m going to shoot some day 6 (wider cut version) next year, I was worried they would be brittle, but that has not been the case. A little more resilient to moisture is nice too How has edge retention been on them? They are a very nice looking head considering real world results and materials

    Your Top FIXED blade BH

I watched a double lunged roosie cow take an hour to die, most of that on her feet, other cows were coming over and beating her up, she just wouldn’t go down That was a little 1” SB, didn’t go anywhere, hardly bled, and took forever to die. I finally had him try to get another arrow in it, the...

    Your Top FIXED blade BH

No argument here, but your experience was an anomaly, they are a 1.25” 3 blade, so they do more damage than most fixed heads… I completely understand having a less than stellar experience and wanting to shoot something else, it’s hard to override your own experience My favorite fixed head is...

    Headache with Costa sunglasses?

Another thing that could give the sensation (that I have experienced) is one pair I have that have fairly large 580g lenses, if I’m really active wearing them for a long day, the weight on the bridge of my nose caused discomfort and it took me a couple days to realize what the issue was. The...

    The Shoot2hunt Podcast

Excellent, thanks The rifle is currently chambered in 308, so it sounds like a pretty clean project. This is one of the states that 6mm is the smallest legal caliber for elk, and you made the 6arc sound like the most logical choice, planned on a 6creed, but I think for the niche this rifle...

What bolt face do I need (tikka) and mag for a 6arc? Anyone know off the top of their heads?

    The Shoot2hunt Podcast

I thought the most recent FF was great info, and I think my 6creed build turned into a 6arc build. It will be primarily for my daughter, so the extra reach of the creed doesn’t matter (or for me) I wish 22 cals were legal here, but since they aren’t, I think the 6arc is probably the best option

How bad do you think its going to get?

I think it’s a political setup considering the timing and how things are playing out as they do

    Headache with Costa sunglasses?

Not for me, I currently have 5 pairs I regularly wear in both 580g and 580p, and never had a problem, and have had several pairs of Maui as well, but they are more fragile coatings and don’t clean easily (smear a lot more than costas)
