So my brother runs a swamp cooler in his house. His howa in the closet got really rusted over the summer. I have doused it in CLP to try and stop the rust. I don't fully know the cerakote process. Can the action be sandblasted to clean up all the rust before the cerakote is applied?

I have an Atlasworx CTR to AICS bottom metal on the way. I picked up a 6 ARC MDT metal magazine. The current plan is to have Kinport rifles open up the bolt face and turn the 10 round magazine into a 5 rounder.
What are the specs on your barrel? I am looking at Preferred. I can't decide between a 1/8 or 1/7.5. Which factory ammo has been the most accurate for you so far?
So I stumbled onto this and ran down the rabbit hole. I am going to give this a try. I plan on using a CTR stock and buying the Atlasworxs bottom metal so I can run AICS magazines. I have a .223 that I can use so I will report back on how it goes when it's all done.
I was wondering who has the Howa Mini Action in 6 ARC. I don't want to handload right now, and ammo can be found pretty cheap. I noticed it carries enough velocity to get me out to a decent effective range. I am just a little worried about having only two ammo options. I am mainly curious...
This has been my line of thinking as well. I think I will still run a separate .223 for practice, but I really want to run just one rifle that I can really build to my specs. Then I can put extra money towards tags.
After a lot of reading I am leaning heavily towards the 6mm Creedmoor. I have a Tikka Action that needs a new barrel so I may as well try it out for myself.
I was just looking at the poll results. What does the 147 ELDM do that the 140 ELDM doesn't? Is it just people wanting a heavier bullet because they are smaller cartridges?
I have been lurking for a while and it seems that smaller calibers are pretty popular on this website. I have also noticed their is a lot of photo's showing they can be very effective. If you were going to make the switch to a 6mm or 6.5 which cartridge and bullet are you picking? The poll...
