I'm sorry this happened to you. I would smell the meat. Don't know how long it was without refrigeration. Is the meat colder than 52 degrees? I don't think refereeing meat hurts it. I freeze my venison that I'm going to grind until I've gotten several deer and grind all together.
Put a case in the press and run the ram to its highest point and screw the seater down until you feel the crimping feature touch the case mouth and then back the seater die out a little bit.

2 month old post I know. The bottom of the feed rails in the receiver are scaring the cases and need the sharp corners stoned and polished. The feed ramp also needs to be polished. Might be good to remove the trigger so as to not get metal filings in it. I have an unfired longranger in 300 wm...
