Really good to hear you guys aren’t seeing the rolling ball effect. I’ve prefered Leica over Swaro for this reason but I’m going to take a hard look at these new Swaros
Serious question: Other than broadhead alignment, which is easily checked by spinning the arrow like a top, are you guys actually finding shafts that aren’t straight? I can see the need 20 - 30 years ago when carbon first came out and were poorly made and/or we were shooting aluminum which might...
I owned two Outdoorsmans tripods and sold both for a big loss. They were good but I didn’t like the noisier aluminum or the latches that seemed to constantly require tightening and cleaning to prevent them from being noisy and sticking. Neither were compact and constantly hung up on overhead...
If you have a press, or access to one, add a Simms Everlast Leech to the bottom of the string halfway between the string stopper and the cam. If you don’t have a press, then tie in cat whiskers or install an Apex Gear Double Down Silencer in the same spot. You only need one in this spot and...
I’ve done this when making sight tapes and it’s not easy to get good readouts on the chrono at 50 yards. I’m not sure if it’s the placement of the arrow, the angle of the arrow, shooting outside and the sun’s angle or a combination of all three.
In any case, once I got a few speeds registered...
I’ve found Scott’s customer service to be excellent. A year or two ago I was searching for the rubber band that holds the release head against the strap, couldn’t find them anywhere, called them up and had a some in a few days.
I make up a dozen specifically for hunting and they stay in a case with broadheads attached until needed. My process involves test shooting each arrow at 60 yards with three different types of broadheads on each arrow, nock tuning etc. until each arrow is verified or weeded out. I then screw the...
Raise your rest a little at a time until the two groups come together horizontally and then adjust your sight to bring both groups back to the same level as the bullseye. To help with the left impact we need to know what bow you’re shooting, right hand or left hand, the draw weight, your draw...
For Black Gold to tell the OP to contact the lens manufacturer is totally ridiculous, if that really happened. If it truly took them two weeks to respond that’s not good either but I would’ve picked up the phone and called. For the other poster to try to make the analogy that a car manufacturer...
I did something similar and made the paper frame out of PVC but rather than a PVC base I attached the paper frame to a cheap Walmart tripod so I can adjust the height of the paper. This enables me to shoot different areas of the paper from top to bottom while maintaining my form horizontally and...
I think it’s meant to enable to reset your 20 to zero without looking per your second thought. That said you could install it the other way to prevent clearance issues or buy a second and do both.
I’m interested to see how yours tuned up. My was challenging until I replaced the stock grip with the old style Hoyt Pro Fit wood grip that no one else but me seems to like... The new X Act grip just doesn’t seem to fit me, nor did side plates.
