Hamskea rest

I am going to be installing a hamskea rest on my bow. What is the perfered method use the spring or go with out it

I've done it both ways. Haven't noticed a difference ether way.

The spring is definitely recommended and has a few benefits.
1. Eliminates any launcher flutter to prevent fletching contact.
2. Eliminates most of the shock transferred from the limb. This reduces wear on the internal components.

I've always used the spring. No real reason why other than I figured some engineer out there decided it was worth having and I couldn't argue that.

Hamskea recommends the spring. The spring helps with timing. I couldn't get mine timed correctly without the spring.
