Yes, .5g increments. Sometimes I go to the range, other times I just shoot it in the ditch. Strictly looking for pressure signs. Once I find pressure, I use to back off 2g. Load 3 at say 47, the 47.5 and so forth up to right at Max pressure. Like in the pic below, at 49.5g, I still didn't... -

49g is pretty full but I don't hear any crunching. It could be slightly compressed. I did have a load with TAC at 50g with fed 210m primers, but TAC was hard to find and I have about 4lbs of varget. Thus me finding a load with it. Didn't try TAC with the cci200's, so really no comparison. But... -

Have you tried shooting with these? With an advertised BC of .519, they have a better BC that the 155 scenars of .460 The 155 scenars hammer in my CTR, and there is a thread on the campfire of tons of game kills with them even though they are advertised as a target round. -

The switching back and forth between copper and lead had no accuracy effects on either of my tikkas, T3 lite and CTR, both in 308. I shoot 130ttsx handloads, 155 scenar handloads, fed blue box 150's from Walmart, and rem corloks 150's from Walmart and all hammer. So it may effect some depending... -

Its not just the speed, 8208 XBR is not temp sensitive and is similar to varget. I wanted to try them in my 155 scenars because at 47.5g of varget I get 2840 out of my 20" CTR and 47g gets me 2862 out my T3, but very compressed loads. Read a few threads on it and saw very similar velocities... -

I have a good supply of varget but I wanted to try some 155's with 8208 to see if can get a little more velocity in my CTR 20". I have TAC also, but 8208 is more like varget in temp stability. But I'm not gonna work up a load for it and can't get any more of it. -

tikka bottom plastic
I'll have to try the washers. I did the SS tubing on my CTR because of the stock, not the bottom plastic. There appeared to have a small void in the stock from the factory. This caused the bottom plastic to flex some. So filled in the slight void and installed the tubing. The washers... -

I'm glad this came up because I considered a 695 action to do a LA build because I was told that the mags are longer than the T3/T3x. Do you happen to know the max caol for cartridges in a 695? -

Browning X-Bolt Pro or Tikka in a Carbon Stock **POLL**
