I have a bear hunt mid May in Idaho. I know that they recently voted in to allow the use of lit nocks. Will this be in effect for bear season or is it being held until the fall season? Google did not have many recent articles on this.
Thanks!
I would go with the 135 with longer insert. I would expect zero durability issues unless you are shooting a super low GPI shaft that is brittle. FYI I shot these at 32.5 inch draw all season without issues.
This may be lazy but just hot melting the entire piece in (insert screwed into head) seems to have been the best thing for me. Dip the shaft in boiling water for a 10-20 seconds and pull it out when you need to change.
At your size go find a Hoyt Double XL, Mathews Atlas, or Mathews Traverse second hand in the classifieds. You will want something that can past 31 with just a mod change so you can figure out where your draw needs to be. Have a good shop set it up. I am 6-4 and shoot mine at 32. Finding bows is...
I have shot a Nock2It over a year and loved it. I had zero complaints.
I picked up a Stan Perfex LN and think I like it a little more. Need some time with it to verify but I like the adjustability.
Totally agree. It was noticeable enough that I imagine it would still be there with 80%, just less.
The dump would not be what stopped me from buying it.
V3x was stiff (not hard to pull just stiff) and dumped a lot at the top of the cam (set to 31.5) but was super well balanced and held very nice. Prefer the draw of my Traverse to this. Hold and stability of V3X won over Traverse. If my draw was a half inch shorter I would have a hard time not...
Can anyone compare a Traverse drawing 31.5 to the new 33 drawing 31.5? I was not a fan of the V3 or VXR at the top of the cam and am wondering if this one is different.
Have a brand new TightSpot Pivot 2.5 for right handed shooters. Bought it but ended up sticking with my old Tight Spot. Put it on my bow once in the house and took it off. Super adjustable but my 32 inch arrows just made it funky and I like being able to take it off for a tree stand.

It depends on your angle here. If you went through next to the spine and came out mid lung then that body cavity has to fill up before you really get blood out (barring a major artery begin nicked and squirting everywhere). If you went in next to the spine and out opposite arm pit then not so...
