I mean it is an honor system to a certain degree unless you get caught on social media or something. That being said my opinion is that anyone suggesting that sort of behavior is not much of a hunter.
I ended up playing with varget with those 140 absolute hammers. Max speed at 3060fps and .3-.4 MOA accuracy at 3003fps. Wrecked the deer I shot at 392 yards.
I like my Nemo hornet 2p even when I’m solo. I’ve actually used it a lot now that think about. I’m bought it on here for $200 and it’s the best tent I’ve owned. I have a SO cimmaron with a stove for cold late season hunts but the other 3 seasons I use the hornet. That being said I’ve got some...
Not many units still open especially for mule deer. Talking to a guy I know over at game and fish it turns out that they are now estimating that people were killing 70% more mule deer in OTC archery than they were originally estimating. Many units closed to mule deer hunting in the first week...
I’d go guided in Region g WY. The others I’d do DIY. Of course of those three you’re most likely 20 years from that Kaibab tag. More likely to draw the other two. I hunted NV in 2020 archery for mule deer and it was awesome. I didn’t tag out but with a rifle i would have been done day one with a...
The EVO is probably about perfect for your application. If you’re only using it on bolt guns in my opinion you can’t get much better. I only have two suppressors. The EVO which is my hunting can and my YHM turbo t2 which is a dedicated full auto 5.56 can that’s rides on my AR. After hunting with...
I have the EVO. It takes recoil down substantially better than the factory radial brake on my .300 win mag and feels better than the 2 port area 419 hellfire I had on my 7-08ai. It takes a .223 down to basically a .22lr.
Money saving life hack would be stay away from the classified section here!
On a serious note I do my own taxidermy work to save money.
I’m general I started avoiding most “hunting” companies as it turns out your paying a premium for that gear when you can get the same stuff from other...
Congrats. I grew up in MI and there were no bucks like this back then. The philosophy was generally shoot anything with antlers. Guess the hunting is different now.
I don’t want the chance of anything funky getting left behind if it’s gonna be in the house. And I like mine professionally white. So I boil them power wash then whiten. If you’re just leaving it in the garage then I could see the simplicity of your method.
Heres a coues deer skull from a...
We used to hunt behind my grandparents house. Dad, grandpa, uncle Bob, then later me and my brother. We both killed our first deer back there. Mom used to let us take opening day (November 15th every year in MI) off school though eventually the school made it a holiday since none of the teachers...
Elk. 5.8 miles each direction. Three trips. So 29 total miles in two days if you don’t count the initial walk into get your the elk and kill it.. Buddy killed a bull and I killed a cow 100 yards apart so we each had a total elk to deal with. In hindsight we should have shot one bull and been...
Check your scope base and ring screws. Check your action screws for the correct torque. Check to make sure your barrel is free floated. Have those rounds grouped well in the past? Or are they new?
