Suppressor choice

Stopped in my LGS yesterday with the intent to order a Harvester EVO. It's going to go on a Remington 700 30-06 and a 300 win mag. The intent of picking up a suppressor was to not have to wear ear pro when hunting, and secondly recoil reduction for my wife. I'm waiting on the shop to call me back tomorrow for pricing but is the Harvester EVO the best choice for my use? For the price compared to a TBAC 7 or Dominus it seemed like a no brainer but I've been reading how the shorter suppressors don't reduce recoil as much as longer options. I'm having her 30-06 cut to 20" so length isn't a true concern compared to price with how much it'll realistically be used.

The EVO is probably about perfect for your application. If you’re only using it on bolt guns in my opinion you can’t get much better. I only have two suppressors. The EVO which is my hunting can and my YHM turbo t2 which is a dedicated full auto 5.56 can that’s rides on my AR. After hunting with the harvester evo this year and taking two animals without ear pro on I will not hunt without it if at all possible.

I'll let you know how the Evo performs when mine gets out of ATF in a year or so.

I am not expecting it to be hearing "safe" out of my 22" 6.5 CM or the 19" 270 I am building. By that, I don't expect it to be "safe"for long strings of fire at the range. I do expect it to be "good enough" for use in a hunting situation for 1-2 shots if I forget to put my foamies in before I take a shot at an animal.

I have a Nomad 30 which is hearing safe, but the Evo is 40% lighter. That might not seem like much, but the Nomad is hard to hunt with because it makes my 6.5CM unbalanced toward the muzzle.

I’ve been thinking about an EVO myself. I already have the Harvester 300 and a Surefire Legacy .30 cal. The Harvester is a fair bit quieter than my Surefire and about the same as my buddies Ultra 9. The EVO is supposed the be quieter!
I use the Harvester on my 18.5” .270 and it’s stupid quiet. I just shot it a couple hours ago and it amazes me everytime.

of those mentioned, i have a harvester 300 and an ultra 7 with an evo stuck in efile purgatory. if the evo is anywhere close to the original harvester it's going to be a great suppressor for your situation. your choice of rifle mfg on the other hand....

My evo is noticeably quieter than my original harvester on my 6.5 prc . It’s basically a sleeveless omega .

I don't know about the Harvester but I have 4 TBAC Dominus and can assure you the recoil reduction is substantial. Your '06 will probably feel somewhere around 243 or at most 6.5cm recoil level.
