WTS Stone Glacier Grumman Down Jacket - Medium/Coyote

That’s the prob. I want it for an outer ware insulation when sitting but also want it to fit under a shell if needed. But yeah most common use would be as the outer layer

WTS Stone Glacier Grumman Down Jacket - Medium/Coyote

Thanks that’s what I figured as we are pretty similar builds it sounds. If it is designed to be layered a med usually is ok, like Sitka expedition fit. Otherwise it’s prob a large if I want to layer.

Help me pick a tent, please

I agree and have a luxe octapeak and Wild West stove they sell. Just getting back from using it in Colorado and was very pleased. This the second year I have used the tent. Last year was burn ban and warm so I left it at house. For price I think they are decent. I have never seen a seek outside...

    Pressure in a new tikka

Do have an update for those that have helped. I really appreciate the input. It’s going to be kinda anti climatic though. I have been reading everything I could find on reading pressure signs and can accross an article that I will post here if that is not against forum rules. It talked about...

At what point does reloading payoff?

I think it is way worse than your numbers show. Especially if you consider primer cost if you don’t have a stockpile stored up. I know I have way way more than $660 in my setup and it is not lavish by any means and waited for what I thought were good prices. But I think it’s a good...

At what point does reloading payoff?

I asked similar questions when I was getting ready to start and it is not a simple answer because cost can vary so much depending on what u buy and at what cost u can get components. It would be years of shooting for most people to ever break even. If you don’t enjoy the thought of tinkering...

Make sure you show respect this fall

Talking about aging birds, I always clean animals as quick as possible. Some guys we hunt with will shoot ducks early on Sunday and the not clean them till late in the day when we get home, possibly 10 hours later. I asked why once and he told me about how they used to put a nail through the...

What kind of accuracy do you shoot for with hunting ammo?

I only consider 5 -10 shot groups actually groups for data. My requirements are very simple. If they don’t all go in the same hole every time, I scrap the rest of that jug of powder, that lot of bullets, and swap barrels. If two shots are not in the one hole, action and stock also ge trashed...

    300 WSM Barrel Length Help

Anyone care to share there 300wsm load recipes. I’m getting back out today to retest some loads. I have a thread discussing the issues already and would like to see what others are using brass and powder, and charge weights. I don’t think I’m going to be happy with what I have loaded up...
