Without any predilections toward a favored brand, can anyone provide a true advice on which scopes can really withstand the ‘magnum’ springer rating?

Have a half a dozen leupolds on rifles from .375, .338, 300wsm, etc and never had an issue. Just my 2¢

+1 on Leupolds...have many and all work fantastic. I also have a couple Zeiss that have performed without any issues as well.

I guess 60 percent of folks here are for Leupolds, i am still looking to see if other folks will contradict leupolds

Vari x 3, fx, m4.....all been back to leupold for service. To be fair, turn around was lest than 3 weeks on all of them.

Nikon, burris, Swarovski leupold and tasco have all failed me.

Never broke a zeiss, swfa or elite or better bushnell / Bausch and Lomb.

I have a 7.5# 375 and a few big RUM's that are good at scrambling scopes. One leupold died on a 223 styr.

You're asking about air gun scopes, right? I have an RWS 54 with an SWFA 12x power on it. On that airgun the action slides in the stock to make it recoiless to the shooter, but it is often considered one of the hardest on scopes. The swfa has been solid. Dialing has been repeatable and it's fun to stretch it out. I did have to crank down on the mount pretty good to keep it from sliding.

I had issues with a variety of fixed power and variable Leupolds. I now use only SWFA and Nightforce. Works for me. I do tend to dial for yardage here in the wide open west and those 2 brands have done well for me.

VX-3 on my Kimber Montana in .325WSM. Burris' on my ML. Neither have moved an inch without me doing something to it first.

Not going to recommend any brand but I did watch a leupold fail for the third time last weekend on my muzzleloader... All three weren't even dialing. Just failure to hold zero.
