think he's saying he wants a 1/2 inch rifle at the bench in perfect conditions, to give him some enough slop to still shoot 1moa in hunting conditions/positions.
op, a box-stock tikka will not hold you back. but i (also a lefty) have four in which i have installed proof carbon prefit barrels...
also, browning blr if they still make them. as a lefty way back, weren't a lot of options and the blr was a very nice rifle, light, conpact. you would have to have it threaded if desired.
pretty sure some lefty tikka's are threaded now. just cut the buttstock down as needed. can always buy...
not sure if directed at me, and if so, what that means?
in any event, for my latest, i did actually buy a complete 7rm for the action, to put together a 6.5 prc. was cheaper than buying just an action from JA, although a little more work.
not familiar with the factory rifles in 7prc as i'm a lefty and there are few if any. i bought a tikka magnum action, screwed on a proof carbon prefit and put that in a pure precision altitude stock. haven't shot it much yet but a pretty nice rifle. pretty easy "build" esp if you get the...
in my dreams. i've only seen well north or that. where are you seeing $525, not that i'm in the market having four already...

big fan of area 419 hellfire brake on my 300wsm. they now make it in titanium so a little lighter. i know cans are all the rage but a brake def tames recoil and muzzle jump better for me. plus frankly the cans aren't all that quiet so i'm wearing earpro anyways.
Had a 700 in 7stw. One day I checked free float, and it wasn't. So filed down the barrel channel some, and accuracy went to crap. Turns out Remington had intentionally put in a pressure point on some of their stocks
what a shame that such an awesome cartridge has pretty much gone away.
the 7 prc ain't no slouch though and has at least a full page of ammo on ammoseek under $50/box before shipping and tax..
i f'd around with my rem 700 custom shop 7stw and then ended up rebarreling it but didn't like the result.
i'd keep that bad boy, 7stw is so classic, and just get or build a 7prc from components (eg tikka receiver, proof barrel, altitude stock etc).
