I've been using a Stone Glacier Skyscraper 2P for the past 3 years and was thinking about swapping it for a KUIU Storm Star but after sitting in the stormstar there is NO WAY haha. I'll just buy another SG Skyscraper when/if this one dies.
Not to mention the underarm vents all the way to the elbows. It saves weight because you don't need pit zips. I liked my camo one so much that I purchased a second one in solid green for daily wear. Glad I did now. It really fit a niche in my kit that nothing else could. I sold my jetstream...
What makes it so cool is that it's a high-activity piece. I vent a ton of heat out of my back when moving and sweating. If you stop, you should throw on a puffy or other shell/raingear anyway.
I LOVE UT, especially the northern part. SLC is a bit too warm for me after living at an elevation in CO. However, you start to miss the ocean being landlocked.
I tried Flex Seal before the Plastidip, and it was a disaster. It's way too thin to apply thick coats properly. The Plastidip, with about 4-5 coats, was perfect. You can also let it dry about 70% and still be able to form it to your grip/hands.
I don't own an altitude, but from what it looks...
The growth is what ran me out of New Braunfels. I used to be able to run up I35 to my Austin office in 30 minutes. Once it started taking 1.5 hours it was time to move. It's a cool little town, though. The growth also ran me out of Leander, TX up here to CO as soon as a TDY position opened.
I'm pretty sure the old ambient hoody/jacket had 150g. My ambient jacket does, and it's super warm. I don't think I'd want anything over 100 for a mid-layer piece in any double-digit temps. That and the EVO plus a good puffy and raingear is all you need, in my opinion. Then again, I hunt...
There's a show on TV called 'I Was Prey.' In one episode, a coon attacked a woman walking her dog at daylight and nearly killed her. Happened up in BC, Canada. It really ate her up. I had no idea a raccoon could be that vicious. The doctors said there were zero cases of rabies up in BC, so...
I'm in government, but I was relocated for work in September 2019. COVID hit within 6 months of my move, and I was temporarily renting a room with roommates. I checked the home/rent prices here in the Denver area and found a nice home for rent in the $1800/mo range BEFORE covid. Those same homes...
I did all my homework and typically found a temporary place to live in my new state, which I've lived in six, and then COVID hit. It wasn't fun. The most challenging thing I've ever been through.
I moved from New Braunfels, TX, to the Denver area back in 2019 (3 months pre-covid). It's pretty packed down there, and there's only one way to get north/south (I35). I recommend you visit before moving down there. I loved central/south TX and would move back, but everyone wants to live...
You know I can golf in December and January up here! It could be a crisp 50 degrees and sunny all year. The SUN at altitude. We have 2 months of bad weather and can have snow on the ground in the morning and have 50 degrees at noon with zero snow. PERFECT golf weather. Haven't you seen the...
I grew up in the Southeast, and while I do miss SEC football in person (it's the best!), and the food, I don't miss the heat and humidity. I woke up this morning, put on a fleece top, and went for a run in 60 degrees and single-digit humidity. It's heaven to me.
No, we used the NCED for DHS. It was super nice! We've since moved back to Arlington, VA, so I don't get to enjoy the city/facility anymore. I do miss Norman, an awesome city. Just big enough to have all the amenities, and OKC is just up the road.

Mystery solved.. It's a collector's 1969 AMF Wings Frank Ketchum Arc Hunter. It was patented as the first force multiplier compound bow made. Apparently, it's actually worth quite a bit to a collector due to the history between AMF, Wing Archery, and the patent holder Holless W. Allen.
