    So adding to the mix, what is the difference between the two (.338 RUM and .338 Edge) if they both use a necked up .300 RUM as the parent case? Jeff, when I am ready to build a .300 win mag I will be seeking your guidance on which way to go:)

    Jp100, Makes sense to me out of all 3 things mentioned in this thread I would say a quality scope is by far the best investment and choice. The others can be added later; can't shoot them if you can't seem them.
