So the meeting went well and we are going to start Colter out on a simple carbohydrate diet. I know what you are thinking, no this doesn't mean only carbohydrates. It just means simple unprocessed carbs. Which will be good for all of us. Wild game is a very good thing for him. We already eat wild game atleast 5 nights a week so this will be a great reason to keep the freezer full (with help from Colter)! He basically needs to stay away from grains and added sugar.

We will be speaking with a dietitian shortly and will be monitoring his progress. I really appreciate all of your prayers I know every one of them has helped.

Beastmode, I don't want to sound like some holistic hippy here talking about a fad diet. I'm as skeptical about different diets as a person could be but maybe your son would benefit from going completely gluten free? I have done this for a year now and feel great, solved some GI problems I had been experiencing.
In some reading that I have done it seems a lot of people find it helps with joint problems as well. Over Christmas I met a young couple at a friends gathering who were having very similar issues with the daughter as your son has, they ended up changing her to a gluten free diet, almost out of desperation, at age 2 I believe and she has been fine since then (now 5 yrs old).
It is a tough diet as you have to be very vigilant about checking ingredients and need to stay on it a minimum of two months to see if it helps.
I'm not saying this is an answer for you but maybe worth a shot?
I wish you, your wife, and Coltor all the best!

*Edit: Just read your last post, seems the docs are already suggesting tightening up on the grains.

Yes the new diet is gluten free I believe. I haven't gone over every food item yet and as this is all very new to us. Last night we had broccoli with no seasoning and blacktail backstrap with light olive oil pepper and salt (just the way I like it :D )

My 3 year old son (best hunting buddy) goes in to UC Davis tomorrow to get testing done for Crohns disease. It is going to be a colonoscopy and endoscopy. He has had diet issues and joint pain since he was a baby and all symptoms point towards Crohns.

Hoping it isn't the case but if it is he is a tough little man and I know he can handle anything God puts on his plate. We are doing the cleansing process and it has been pretty rough on him so far but he is still keeping a smile on his face. Please keep Colter in your prayers. Thanks guys.

Definitely praying for the Future rokslider.
