Second this. $20 to get rid of all the crimps you’d ever encounter. I just did about 1500 pieces with this. Zip tie the trigger on the drill, clamp drill aimed up, and find a rhythm. Don’t remember how long it took me, but it’s a good rainy day project that doesn’t use up a lot of brainpower.
I have one. 18 inch BA barrel, toolcraft BCG. Shoots 105 and 108 hornadys really good. Doesn’t seem to like lower weight bullets though. My suppressor is still in jail so I can’t speak to that, but it is a LOT of fun. Definitely one of my most used rifles because of low recoil and the fact that...
Question is: should I anneal before forming brass from 6.5 to 22 caliber?
Not really wanting to start the discussion around accuracy, but more concerned with brass stress going from one caliber to another. Brass is mostly new, with about 1/4 being once fired. Going from 6.5 to 6mm to 22 call...
Well I have, and some of it is up to 8% higher, while some of it is almost identical. I know weight does not directly equal capacity, but I have checked that. Guess I need to fill cases with water.
Also, the 7.62 brass is large primer vs small primer 6arc. Would that contribute?
Ok so I have a batch of a couple of different name brands of 7.62 brass than I have converted to 6arc. However, when I get anywhere near (~1-2grs) a load that I normally use in 6arc brass I start blowing primers in the 7.62. This happens across multiple name brands of 7.62.
I don’t have a...

I’ll add to the group though, I’ve had GREAT success with 25-26 gr Lever with 73-77 SMK, TMK, and eld-m. My go-to is 25.5 for all of those. Accuracy seems to be best at 25.5-26, but I start getting noticeably worse ejector marks after 25.5. My measure is sitting at 25.5 Lever right...
I’ve been shooting the 73eld-ms & 75 bthps with better accuracy results than 77tmk/smk. Also the Hornady are cheaper and can be found locally, so I actually choose those over the sierras
Specifically looking at .224-75gr, .243-105gr, and .308-168gr (or 175)
I know ELDs are pretty widely accepted for the performance on game, but I can only find spotty references to the BTHPs performance on game. Looking at these bullets out of a 223, 6arc, or 308 gas gun. Does anybody know or...
Maybe you said and I missed, but have you done this with Hornady powder measure? I have the same measure and wanted to do the same thing, but my scale only goes to .1, so I would have to do a LOT of throws to get the data I’m interested in. Edit: interested in Hornady with leverevolution*
