    DIY Lightweight Waders

tttoadman - A good quality pair of gaiters - properly adjusted and secured will perform about the same as your idea - except they will be a lot quieter (and only go to just below the knee. You can't stand in the water, but you dont have to run across it either.

I use a old wool blanket at the bottom of my pack, then load in a 40# bag of water softener salt. Makes it compact yet carries well.

    Elk down, now what?

I freeze milk jugs with water, and use them in my coolers. Keep the coolers in the pickup (I have a topper) covered with a old sleeping bag while in the woods. It will keep ice for a long time. Plus you don't have a lot of water sloshing around the cooler when you drop in the quarters. As...

    2013 KUIU ICON Reviews??

I have an original ICON Bag and a 2012 frame. Have hauled out 4 elk and 2 deer with it, and totally love it. Twice I have carried out both front quarters and both backstraps in a single load, so that had to be close to 90#. My other comparisons are an Eberlestock J34 (1 Elk and 1 Deer). its...

Has anyone replaced pins on a Spot Hogg sight? I have the Right On 7 pin wrapped sight (with bulletproof pins) but all my pins are .019. I was wanting to swap out the last 2 or 3 pins for the .010 size. Is it fairly straightforward to swap them out?

Are we supposed to PM you the "list" with supporting cost links? cuz If I post it here, then everyone will see my cheap deals web sites and come up with the same list. And, no-one should be able to riddle Craigslist with "Free to good home" adds with their current equipment list! I think it...
