my guess would be the price point drives many people away from it, therefore little experience out there with it.
now if you and a buddy each had a bcs, the price point isnt as steep.
for me, my research landed me on the sl-5 from golite a few years back. it was a nice shelter. space to weight was great. did well in poor weather. 2 people and gear no problem, but light enough that you could still take it solo.
after running it, there were a few small, nagging things about it...
i dont think those would cut it for my uses. part of it is keeping sheet out of my boots, but also need them to seal up well for creek crossings and wet brush

ive got a UA poly cutoff ill throw over a merino shirt in early season. then i made a blaze lid cover out of an el cheapo vest. if its cold enough i wear an orange daybreaker fleece from HH.
has anyone run these? thoughts?
im still in the market for a low cut gaiter i like. i thought i had found it in the OR flex tex II but ive torn up two pairs this season.
OR endurance held up well last season, but i dont like the cut.
recently bought some rab latok mid but theyre too big for my...
hard to say exactly as we were on the road for a few days after. putting down 5k/cal but on our 10day trip i was down 4lbs my first morning weigh in. im 6ft, left at 172.
, i should have been more clear. i prefer the hood, zippers and pockets on the aquillo.
im not sure if we have different jackets, but my aquillo has no sealed zippers...
it is heavier than advertised. waiting to hear from kryptek on that end so i dont want to comment too much there...
