    Help finding a pack

Looking to see who makes some smaller half-day/quick hike packs around the 1000CI size or less like the Badlands Scout (630CI) or Eberlestock Mini-Me (400-900). Don't need it to carry a rifle or bow or anything or have a frame, but something for a quick couple hour hike/glassing session/fishing...

    Glock 20 10mm holster options

I carry the Blackhawk Omega VI drop leg holster. The material is quiet when walking through brush since it isn't the kydex, and being a drop leg holster it doesn't interfere with a backpack waist strap or pull down your pants. Also like how when standing still or even walking it is always within...

Vortex Razor gen 1 vs viper hd gen 2

I use the 65mm Razor Gen 2 and have no complains so far for quality of the glass or spotter itself. But I did like the Gen 1 style much better, especially the focus wheels but guess it comes down to personal preference too. Would take the Razor over the Viper in a heartbeat if they are about the...

    Outstanding deal on 12x50's

Be careful with Cabela's and the warranty now, ever since the Bass Pro takeover Cabela's products no longer have a lifetime warranty, all advertising of that has been removed from stores and the website. Not sure what the warranty is now for sure but no longer a lifetime (of the product) guarantee.

    Garmin 64ST

I use OnX and it works well, but haven't used the Garmin so couldn't tell you for sure. The 64ST is a good unit, love mine and Cabela's had them on sale from $349.99 down to $199.99 so I gave a couple of them as gifts and they loved them so you should be happy with the unit

    Sitka ascent pant

I'm 5'8" and 170 wearing 33x33 and the 33R fit perfect, I'd say just match it to your jean size and you'll get a good fit as they are pretty true to size. They are the perfect hot weather hiking summer pants or active hunting pants, very breathable and light with good mobility. Would recommend...

Best factory long range rifle around $1000

+1 for the Browning Hells Canyon speed or long range. I shoot the speed in 300 win mag and love the way it shoots, the way it looks, and how it feels

    Gloves for the rain

I use the Sitka Downpour GTX gloves (little on the pricey side) that have the GoreTex waterproofing and have been my favorite rain gloves so far. Just make sure your sleeve cuffs are over the gloves and tight on your wrists

    Varget users?

Use it with the 6.5cm I loaded with some Berger bullets with some data from a coworker and has been the most accurate powder with that combo that I've found, so works very well with me

Which 15X? Sig Zulu 9 vs Leupold BX 5 vs Meopta Meostar

Having compared the Leupold BX-5s and Vortex Kaibabs (step above the vultures you looked at), I agree with a previous post that the Leupolds are heavier and larger than other 15x binos and personally think that the Vortex Kaibabs were clearer and brighter and are significantly cheaper than the...

    onX PHone Preference

I run it on my Galaxy S8 and haven't had any problems yet with the app itself, however if using it a lot during a trip it eats away at your battery % pretty quick, so if you plan on using it for more than a day of hunting I would suggest to also get a Mophie or Goal Zero portable phone charger...
