Ranking the "others" for Dialing

I've read several dozen threads and the common response is SWFA, Bushnell, NF, March, and Huskemaw. How would people rank other manufacturers in for occasionally dialing up to 600 yards (~16MOA). Zeiss, Swarovski, Leupold, Vortex, Steiner, Trijicon. I know there is a lot of scope differences...

Leupold VX6HD slid down metal stairs! Ouch

Don't want to share specifics but I was near the Loma Alta Store north of Del Rio. Had less than 1000 acres to hunt but half of it had the mountain terrain.

I'm coming from Houston area. As others noted, I think it will be hunting Post Rut, for West / SW Texas will let you know how it goes. I'll be around the Devil's River (a few miles away) area on a private ranch. Haven't hunted much up north, I need to head that way!

Best tripod head for spotter

Best tripod head for spotter

Any thoughts on the standard ballhead that comes with the Promaster Tripod? About to order the tripod one and curious if the ballhead would "work" as a rifle mount from a seated position. I cant decide if i should get a VA5 or even a leveling head to shoot off of as well as for spotting...

Custom 300 WSM - who has them?

Just bought a 300 wsm ridgeline, what would you suggest as my first upgrade on that rifle? Did the stock upgrade save any weight? Already wanting to tinker!
