Really the only reason I work where I’m at is because of my hobbies. I’m paid well but if I was just a bum and didn’t want to do anything except sit at home and drink beer on the weekends I’d quit my job tomorrow.
Kind of in left field. It’s easily doable in early season. The only time you start having problems is late season in frigid temps. Just use gear marketed as “western/backpack hunting” and you will be fine. If you want to, pack a puffy and throw it on in your tree stand, nobody says you can’t. I...
Just picked it up. Came with a 22.4” threaded barrel. I knew Tikka was coming out with a factory threaded barrel but thought it wasn’t till later this year. Pretty happy about that.
I hunt both zones but I read that as .22 caliber and everything smaller including rimfire being illegal. Maybe I should email the DNR for clarification.
I was thinking about the banish 30. Glad to hear you like yours. The Tikka might have the shorter threaded barrel from factory. If that’s the case I won’t cut it down and rethread. Just have to weight and see when it gets in.
For something static look for something white tail specific. I’m not familiar with Kuiu but the Sitka fanatic under any rain gear is a great combo. I hunt northern Michigan in temps down to -20 on the extreme end.
Alright guys I’m looking for some setup advice. I like what I’m seeing on here with smaller cartridges and want to take a swing at it. I have a T3x Lite Stainless 6.5 cm ordered from my local shop.
So far I’m thinking cut and thread barrel at 18”? Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 or SWFA 6x42. UM Pic...
It’s a pretty simple choice, Ford or Chevy, can’t go wrong with either. Both gas and diesel will likely do whatever you want to do. If you like to tinker and want to go fast get the diesel. If you like simplicity and don’t mind going slower, get the gas.
Is form on the shoot to hunt pod? I thought I heard mention on the exo podcast that form had his own. I’d like to hear more about the topic. Hopefully form and Joseph can have some sort of discussion with the exo guys.
Elope! Go somewhere fun. Enjoy your time with you and your wife without distractions. The wedding should only be about you and your wife. A traditional wedding won’t give you that. Inevitably there’s personalities that need to be managed, people will want to cause a scene/make it about them…….it...
