I tried the MH-50 LRC.
It wouldn't get a good grip on a light rifle despite tightening - very disappointing.
The picatinny lock and ergonomics were good.
For glassing - Feisol 3441s and Tricer BP. Light, smooth, compact, and can double for light rifle use w/o the column.
Btw, the Tricer AD mounting plate makes for quick head removal.
Check out the Leofoto CN 403CX with the add-on DC-322C Carbon Fiber center post if you need it.
Light and tall with 40/36/32mm legs. The legs have a 100lb capacity if I remember correctly.

No, I am not but I will check it out.
If I'm not mistaken, he asked what is the best performing scope.
I've never met a Zeiss that I didn't like(self admitted pre-disposed bias).
Out of the scopes that he mentioned, chances are the Zeiss is going to have the best glass.
If durability is high on...
Trij is a solid choice.
An all time discontinued favorite is from Vortex that is worth looking for used if the parameters work for you.

FYI, it is not a sealed scope. The eye cups are necessary to protect it from water. Also check out the warranty on this particular scope. Water damage is not covered.
