Don't expose the scope to H20 w/o the eye cups in place. Non warranty damage can occur.
"Protective caps" doesn't mean what you think it means."SHV™ models maintain waterproof integrity with their protective caps installed."

Are you sure it isn't referring to the lenscover?"Protective caps" doesn't mean what you think it means.
Yes, not the rubber lens protector or whatever you're calling eye cups.Turret covers then?
Are you sure it isn't referring to the lens cover? And I'm sure that's only in reference to the capped turrets being unsealed, not the exposed turrets on some SHV series.
Yes.Are you sure it isn't referring to the lens cover?
Do you think those are more waterproof than the lenses that are sealed in and hold gas in the tube?I'll reach out to NF and find out. I believe it is this is the cover they are referring to - "Eyepiece Flip-Up Lens Caps."
No. It’s not. It’s the turret covers on non-dialing scopes.I'll reach out to NF and find out. I believe it is this is the cover they are referring to - "Eyepiece Flip-Up Lens Caps."
Did you reach out to nightforce? I see you have posted that the SHV is "not a sealed scope" in at least a couple threads. Anything you want to clear up?I'll reach out to NF and find out. I believe it is this is the cover they are referring to - "Eyepiece Flip-Up Lens Caps."
I reached out to NF and the SHV is sealed from H20.Did you reach out to nightforce? I see you have posted that the SHV is "not a sealed scope" in at least a couple threads. Anything you want to clear up?
