Go to the CPW Page, Hunting, Big Game. Scroll down to the species you're interested in and select it. Select Statistics. Look at the Draw Recap. In the Draw Recap search for your hunt code. The orange box on the left is the applicants and the orange box on the right is successful...
I didn't think the most recent bill passed, surprisingly. CO does have a 15 round mag limit from a bill that passed a long time ago. Your Grouse gun should be fine. Let us know if the game warden says different.
You don't glass with your rifle scope.
Get better binos, at least 10x or 12x, and put them in a good harness. You'll likely be using your binoculars a lot.
I went Verde. I turkey hunt too and it seems to work for Spring Turkey season. I'm not sure Valo or Verde matters for Elk/Deer in Colorado. I'd go Valo in those dry areas of Colorado and go Verde if there's more green foliage during the season.

Blame California...
Every time I use one of the CARB compliant gas cans I spill more gas than I ever did with the old ones. Hard to use. They're aggravating.
I consider my tag filled and will detach my carcass tag. I'll help others with valid tags after that but my rifle, muzzleloader, or bow will stay at camp.
I take losing game really hard. I'm glad it's a very rare occurrence.
