Colorado 2028 Draw changes (Group Apps)

I may be just missing it but with the change in Colorado's draw system in 2028, are group applications remaining the same with basically applying as a group your applying with the lowest point holders points or do they plan on changing it to where when applying as a group you all share the points taking the average? Again I am sorry if I am missing it but I can't seem to find the information. Thank you

My guess is it will remain the same - lowest point holder - but just a guess. I sure wouldn't let it factor into any of your group decisions the next 3 years between now and then.

Couple things that jumped out looking some of it over:

-You won't be able to apply for Preference Point as 1st Choice and a unit/tag 2nd...if you choose PP, you are not in drawing (obviously forcing buys to choice top/premium units as 1st choice hoping to not draw - except now 50% of those tags could be random draw and you actually do draw it). Gonna be wild next few years with No archery NR OTC this year then big changes in '28.

-Moose/Sheep/Goat will become Once in a lifetime tags starting in '28

As long as they're doing refunds there's no way they can average points, can't have both.

I've never heard of them averaging points in either of the draws. It'll be the same as before, lowest points in the group.

People will abuse the system putting tons of nonhunters and applying as a group then refund the tags and switch out the people the following year, etc. other states will average points because they don't do easy refunds.
