ZeroTech TRACE ADV 3-18×44 FFP Shoot2Hunt

I apologize for not being up to speed and for not reading what has probably already been said. I'm also not the best educated shooter. So now that that is out of the way I see 4 quick holds if the scope is turned up. The center dot is 100 zero the bottom of the box is half a mil. Then you have the half buddie circle under that and the top of the post. Im curios what the little half buddy is and what the tip of the post is?

Check out this thread and THLR's videos linked there.

Very cool. You probably are aware, but maintube diameter is listed twice. 🤷🏼‍♂️
@Ryan Avery removing the duplicate maintube diameter specification opens a spot on the table to add a scope length dimension (12.5" per post 2772 "Would you buy this scope") or a maintube mounting length dimension that keeps getting asked about.

I'm getting more and more excited about this scope with each new detail I hear about it and after spending some time studying the THLR reticle.

THLR is more of a “field shooting” reticle. Hunting/larger target sports like nrl etc.
The finer reticles are preferred for “precision shooting”
That’s my opinion which is worth what you paid for it. Nothing wrong with wanting to leverage a broader market. Personal preferences vary greatly so it’s nice to have options. I went thlr myself. Been waiting years for an affordable optic with this type of reticle.

Honestly this scope is pretty sweet. Definitely the best overall value I’ve seen for hunters. Nice touch with push button illumination. I prefer it anyway.

Is the rmg-h visible at 3x in a hunting situation?

I'm guessing it's pretty thin but useable in lots of situations, tough in some low light situations. Without illum that is.

The nx8 mil-c reticles hover around 0.04 mil thickness (little thinner on 32x, little thicker on 20x model). Mil-R in 4-16 atacr is 0.05 mil. I think the 5-20 SWFA is 0.05 mil too.

Seems more optimal at mid - higher mag but still better than many others at low mag. Thicker and less windage stadia woulda been better for using on 3x obviously.

I think it will be.
They posted the reticle dimensions a little ways back, and the line weights for the 4 heavy posts were 1.0mil thick.
This compares favorably to SWFA line weights. The 10x has an outer line weight of 0.6mil.
The 3-9, 3-15, and 6x all have a 1.2mil thick outer posts.
So fitting right in with all those scopes. The outer posts should be easily visible at 3x.

Edit: the 3 outer posts line weights for the THLR reticle are also listed as 1.0mil. So Same-Same. They should be just as bold and just as visible in low light conditions.
