I only use my bow for whitetail hunting from a Treestand. I haven’t shot 3D in years and I never practice over 40 yards. Does anyone here sight in from an elevated position ? Any cons to it? Id rather practice all summer and fall from my deck to mimic the kill shot I’ll take. I only care about being as accurate as I can in a hunting situation not a controlled range. Interested to get some feedback!

If the third axis is adjusted properly on your sight (and your shooting form is consistent), point of impact will be the same when shooting on the level and shooting downhill/uphill.

That said, practice how you hunt. If all your hunting shots are at a downward angle, sight in and practice accordingly.
