Zeroing Rifle in back country

Guys,

Quick question....where do you check your rifle zero when you reach your hunt unit? We will be flying in from the east and driving straight to our unit. It will probably be 1 or 2 days before the start of the season.....how does this work with checking a rifle?

Look for a local or county rifle range in proximity to the airport or the unit. That is how we have verified our zero's when driving or flying west. If that option isnt available, look into the regulations and some public lands allow target shooting and you could easily setup a 100 yard target and verify the zero quickly.

Small card board box folded up underneath your rifle foam with some shoot and see targets. I just hopped off a forest road and lasered 100 yards and got it done.
