Zeiss " Terra "

Anyone looked through this new line yet? I looked throught the Bino's and the line of rifle scopes this weekend. Even comparing with the top end optics from Zeiss and was pretty impressed in the store? Not a fair comparison to the real world. But for the price point I will not be buying optics made in China if these things hold up in the field. I really liked them in the store. They do come in an ED model in the binos at 10X for under $400.00 Bob.

Guess what? They are made in China. They are inspected by Zeiss before shipping. Not saying they aren't any good, just thought you should know. Another thing worth mentioning is that although companies assemble their products in factory, most all glass worth a darn is made is Japan. Even the Euro glass. I found this out a few years back. China I find is not anywhere close to what Japan is as far as quality control but if Zeiss is putting their name on them I'm sure they are going over them pretty well. They have a lot to lose by selling inferior products with the name they have established for themselves.
