Just got a .243 Win Tikka. Any recommendations for a youth stock? Would be for a 10 year old boy. Gun will also be used for a handful of his brothers and sisters when they get older.

Was thinking Ultradyne chassis with something like a FAB Defense Rapid Adjustable Precision Buttstock. But I’m totally open to suggestions.

Isn’t there only like an inch difference?
Yea, it’s not a massive difference, but it’s often times enough for a 10+ year old. It was enough of a difference that my son loved the feel of it at 10 (after a few range trips of shooting light recoiling full size stocks).

You could get one and it is isn’t short enough then cut it a bit shorter and add a pad on it, as was mentioned already.

If you cut the factory stock you can put the factory pad back on, the holes stay spaced the same into the stock.

You still need to add comb. That's more important than LOP.

I used folded paper towels and coban wrap thinking it would be an experiment to get the ball rolling and there has been no reason to jump thru hoops to change it to something more permanent yet.

My 6 year old uses a ton of comb height.

My 9 year old needs about 1.25"

Comb risers that you can screw into the stock are about $40 if you want something "real".
