Have you compared the Beta AR to other jackets? What stood out about the Beta?

I only compared it to a Kuiu Kutana Storm plus some old Outdoor Research shell. I really like the cut, low over my butt, long sleeves and giant hood. The dwe leaves a bit to be desired but I think that is true of most that are trying to avoid forever chemicals.

I was just talking about the SSS tonight with one of my hunting partners. He liked it on one of the trips we went on. Plans to be picking one up as well.

1. Nemo Moonlight Elite chair - having a comfortable camp/glassing chair is worth its weight in gold

2. Footwear setup - Crispi Valdres GTX, with Superfeet hike inserts, Kennetrek ultimate liners, and Darn Tough lightweight hikers. ZERO blisters or hotspots on my backcountry archery elk hunt this year.

3. Argali Absaroka - incredibly versatile shelter, I may never go back to freestanding


Honorable mention:

Argali Guide X trekking poles - very versatile in combination with the Argali X3 adapter, allowing use of the trekking poles as the center pole for my Absaroka and as a monopod for glassing.

ScytheTI - everyone needs a suppressor. Even if you think you don’t, you just don’t know it yet

Peax Duo headlamp - super bright, this thing is a tank

Good thread! For me it was:
1.- @Hoffman Boots Summit boots with super feet hike insoles. I like Crispi but like these better!
2.- MKC speed goat. A gift from my brothers. My first ‘high end’ knife and I really like it.
3.- A scope I can dial! Even though it’s a Leopold haha. Was a gift from my Dad and I’ve never been more confident in my rifle.. no more hold over with hash marks!

1. A Columbia pfg sun shirt was huge for scouting this summer and those hot days during archery. I plan on trying some rit due to make it a more natural color.
2. Maven cs1.s spotter. It’s not top of the line but it was a nice weight and much better than the vortex I had before.
3. The lightweight block and tackle I set up allowed me to skin and quarter a buck in a burn and keep the hide and meat much cleaner than if I tried to cut him up on the ground.

1). Wet wipes. No more using my bare hand. Worth the weight penalty

2). Coors light instead of water. Can smash the cans up as your drink them. Try to do that with your Nalgene bottle

3). Vape pen instead of a pipe. Huge weight savings

1. A compact clip-on thermal. Culling has never been more efficient.
2. Western Mountaineering Megalite sleeping bag. I'll never go back to synethic bags unless I'm going to be in a constantly-raining place.
3. Wool briefs. Lots of brands. Went 4 days without changing them over 30+ miles and they barely stank.
